Nicotine & Caffeine in Bugout Bag

wtshtf is no time to be going cold-turkey off of caffeine or nicotine. withdrawal symptoms include headaches and anger/anxiety. imagine how much precious ammo can be wasted by someone going off either cold-turkey. wtshtf coffee and cigarettes will be unavailable at any price. you or a loved one will then be quitting at the worst possible time. by including caffeine pills and nicotine patches in your bugout bag you will be better prepared for the insanity. even if you or your loved ones are not addicts they can be valuable barter items. one less drug-crazed zombie to worry about wtshtf. . |

I think the best idea is to ramp down your intake now, and store some freeze dried coffee and some airtight sealed smokes... just my $0.02

Re: Nicotine & Caffeine in Bugout Bag
I agree. In particular, caffeine addiction may be a problem. Most smokers know they're going to go through the cravings of withdrawal. An awful lot of coffee and soda drinkers don't seem to realize just how miserable they may be those first couple of days.
Besides, even if you don't smoke, tobacco has been one of those barter items that seems to have stood the test of time. |
Re: Nicotine & Caffeine in Bugout Bag
A couple bottles of vivarin and a few boxes of generic Nicorette will take up less room. But tobacco and even instant coffee can bring comforts that the straight drugs cannot. The pills and the gum won't attract strangers drawn by the smell of cig smoke or of water being boiled.

Sorry if this sounds like spam.
I've been smoking for 20 years was up to two packs + a day. I can't stand to take more than a couple of puffs off of one. If you have any motivation to quit at all this stuff is just about a miracle drug. I've tried all of the other stuff with the exception of the "herbal remedies" and I know it doesn't work. I've been smoke free for a couple of days now and I'm not displaying any of the agitation or fidgets that I have had when I tried to quit before. The only time I even miss them are the times like getting into the car or finishing a meal, but even then it is little more than a passing thougt. I should have $130 - $150 more a month to buy PMs with. If you're interested http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/heal...p?newsid=46587 |
